Eicher launches premium tractors for young farmers

Eicher Tractors, a part of Tractors and Farm Equipment (TAFE) launched its Prima G3 Series, a new range of premium tractors. It will be offered in the range of 40 - 60 Hp, the company informed in a statement. 

Mallika Srinivasan, CMD - TAFE said, “The Eicher brand, for decades, has been well-known for its trust, reliability, ruggedness and versatility in both the agriculture and commercial space. The launch of the Prima G3, brings to the progressive farmers of a modern India, more productivity, comfort and ease to match their new aspirations, and offers an enhanced value proposition that Eicher has always promised .”

The PRIMA G3 series boasts of a new age design with its distinct aerodynamic hood, with its one-touch front-open, single piece bonnet. Further it comes the High Torque - Fuel Saver (HT-FS) liquid cooled engine, which helps in providing greater efficiency for higher productivity and more fuel savings. Also, the new multi speed PTO provides 4 different PTO modes, making the Prima G3 compatible with multiple agricultural and commercial applications, the statement adds.

Dr. Lakshmi Venu, DMD, TAFE Motors and Tractors said, “Young and progressive farmers of India are seeking to maximise returns from farming operations while focusing on technology and agri-tech solutions, and this is where the Prima G3 would be ideal.”

Eicher is the world’s third largest tractor manufacturer and second largest in India by volumes with an annual sale of about 180,000 tractors. TAFE manufactures a range of tractors, in both the air-cooled and water-cooled platforms, and markets them under its four brands - Massey Ferguson, TAFE, Eicher and the Serbian tractor and agricultural equipment brand -Industrija Mašina i Traktora (IMT).
